Artist Bio:
Tanya Hogue is an accomplished
Navajo artist whose contemporary looking paintings are made with
acrylic painted often over a sand background. Tanya was influenced
by her late father, Bobby Johnson, in developing her artistic
technique and thematic presentation of acrylic on sand background.
She also paints rawhide drums and is well known for her bold
designs. Tanya is from the Shiprock, New Mexico area in the Four
Corners. Winner of the Heard Museum's Native American Arts and
Crafts. Division Winner and Heard Museum's Native American Arts
and Crafts Special Award.
